Ken Brennock, director of technology and principle consultant at Sogeti, spoke at the ITAG Agile Forum on 20 May 2009.
Ken explained how Automation is becoming a key aspect with teams implementing Agile Software Development.

During the presentation the different types of tools for each phase of the SDLC were discussed, comparing open-source and commercial and looking at the advantages and disadvantage of both.
Ken discussed his experience in implementing automation on Agile projects; what tools worked well and not so well, issues to be avoided and lessons learned. Also discussed were some of the potential issues implementing functional automation on Agile development lifecycles.

Ken Brennock is the director of technology and a principle consultant of Sogeti . Sogeti provides Test and QA training, consultancy and specialist resourcing for a wide range of companies in the public and private sectors. Ken's experience in the IT sector spans over 20 years and he has worked in many companies during that period, including large multinationals and small indigenous companies. Ken works with Sogeti clients to evaluate and enhance their test and development processes. Ken is an ISTQB accredited tutor and develops and presents a number of courses and presentation both nationally and internationally. He has worked with and implemented many methodologies, for example, Waterfall, RUP, and Agile.
