Menno Van Doorn, a Director of at VINT (Vision Inspiration Navigation Trends), Sogeti, was the keynote speaker at of the annual Northern Ireland Civil Service ICT Conference. VINT is Sogeti’s Global Research Institute for the Analysis of New Technology.
Speaking at the event Menno contended that the Public Sector needs to embrace social media or be left behind .
"The Public Sector needs to adopt the newborn Conversation Society soon as reflected in Social Media. Those that don’t they will find themselves disconnected from their citizens, employees and 21st century value creation. Ultimately Web 2.0 leads to democratization of almost everything," Menno commented.
