In today’s challenging business climate, organisations are focusing more on getting maximum business value from their software. Consequently, rapid delivery and software quality continue to become more important and the risk of insufficient software quality becomes greater.

Testing is one of the most important actions an organisation can take to control these risks, providing insight into the quality of the software and the risks associated with insufficient quality. With proper testing, organisations can make better decisions and manage risk effectively.

Sogeti’s Test Management Approach (TMap®Next) can help to deliver more complex, high quality software, faster thereby saving organisations both time and money. TMap®Next is a published proven method of structured testing based on Sogeti research and widespread industry adoption as the de facto testing standard. It provides a complete and consistent, yet flexible, approach which is suitable for a wide variety of organisations.

This presentation covered the main concepts of TMap®Next, introducing and summarising its 4 Essentials, which state that TMap Next…

  • …is based on Business Driven Test Management
  • …provides a structured test process and test lifecycle
  • …provides a complete tool box through an extensive set of checklists and guidelines
  •  …is adaptive to any test situation
