Overview of Roles
If you’re interested in a largely technical role, you’ll find a breadth of specialisms here, from Digital Solutions to Business Intelligence & Analytics Consultants. Work with constantly evolving technologies on complex projects, and cut your teeth on a role that’s geared towards rapid development. However we do not just need technical graduates at Sogeti, for some roles – like Business Consultants and Business Analysts, for instance – we look for a very particular kind of graduate. You might not have a technical qualification, but you’ll be able to understand the fine details of our cutting-edge technical solutions. You’ll accurately analyse clients’ current technologies and business challenges/constraints, and act as a credible authority to identify and implement more efficient solutions for their needs. There are also roles that are key to ensuring the successful delivery of projects and services such as Test Consultants and Project Managers. All of the disciplines across our core service lines of Business Intelligence & Analytics, Digital, Test and Consulting all work collaboratively to deliver leading-edge solutions that meet our clients’ needs. The four different areas we are recruiting in for graduate programme are:
The BI Grad will be developing their skills as Data professionals, with an aim to helping our clients with their reporting and analytics needs.
BI Grads will look at the area of Visualisation first then will follow up with developing skills around data modelling and database design, integration and ETL, analytics and data discovery and later Big Data. Throughout they will be developing their Consulting skills.
The Digital consulting grad responsibilities and requirements include:
Implementing market leading software or create custom software and apps for organisations. Working with an international team of experts around Oracle, Microsoft, and Salesforce.com
Design and develop systems around financial technology, marketing, content management, and CRM. Help organisations break the barriers between departments by designing and implementing systems that increase collaboration and productivity
You will have a familiarity with Agile delivery concepts such as SCRUM or Kanban. You will have knowledge of concepts such DevOps, Big Data, Hybrid Cloud and IOT
You will need strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate across a culturally diverse workplace. You should have a desire to work in a fast past and disruptive technology team with a goal to be recognised as the most innovate Digital Services Company in Ireland.
Joining the team as a Test Consultant includes working as part of a broader team to help develop and test cases and scenarios. You will be executing test cases and raising and reporting on defects related to same. You will be providing updates to senior team members on progress and any issues/risks identified. You will learn about the software delivery lifecycle and the various test phases and the scope and focus of each.
In this practice you will be proactively communicating with development teams and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test execution.
In the Consulting practice there are various routes to choose from. Firstly, a Business Analyst: By working closely with clients, you'll build up an understanding of their business-critical issues, identify opportunities for change and improvement, and creatively shape solutions that meet their needs. In the process you'll be able to develop a wealth of skills, covering everything from project management to process improvement and from workshop facilitation to coaching techniques. You will also get to work on the end-to-end delivery of some of the most cutting-edge projects in the digital industry today, whether that means building multi-platform mobile experiences or leading website redesigns.
