Tell us about your professional journey

With a decade of experience in the IT industry, I have worked across various domains, but my primary focus has been SAP, particularly in data management, MDM, data migration and data governance. I have had the opportunity to work in diverse industries like food and beverage, automotive and medical devices, gaining valuable insights along the way. 

Most of my skills and credentials have been built through hands-on project delivery across large-scale SAP implementations. Since joining Sogeti, I have expanded my expertise by obtaining certifications in SAP ETL, SAP tooling, data governance and project management. 

I am extremely detail-oriented, which is critical in the data space. I emphasize the importance of precision and accuracy in every project I work on, ensuring that analysis and processes are well-structured and effective. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with my team, highlighting the benefits (and risks) of maintaining a meticulous approach. 

What is your role at Sogeti?

I have been with Sogeti for four years now and my role revolves around helping clients with SAP implementations. Currently, I am working on a large-scale S4 data migration project, where I serve as an Engagement Manager, Team Lead, and Solution Manager. On the Sogeti side, I handle client engagement, risk and escalation management, and help build our SAP capability through certification and hands-on experience. Additionally, I take great pride in mentoring my team members, helping them achieve their professional and personal goals. 

A day in your life 

As a remote worker 99% of the time, a significant portion of my time is spent on calls either with Sogeti teams or clients. Coffee is a constant companion throughout the day and when possible, I try to squeeze in a walk before work or during lunch. A good day means wrapping up before 6:00 PM and fully logging off. The flexibility at Sogeti has been a game-changer for me and has resulted in a positive work-life balance for me.

After a long day, my favorite ways to unwind are hitting the waves, making music, going to the gym or watching movies. Travel-wise, Japan is next on my list, but I always find myself returning to Central America whenever I get the chance.

How do you help clients navigate the SAP implementation?

I believe open communication is essential to successful project delivery. Transparency around risks, issues and opportunities fosters strong client relationships and ensures that nothing is left to chance. With the increasing emphasis on data governance, many businesses are realizing the value of well-structured data management. The transition to SAP S4 is one of the biggest trends in our industry and it’s exciting to help clients navigate this shift. 

Hobbies and fun facts 

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me surfing, skating or snowboarding. I also dabble in music production when I get the chance.

One of my most unexpected skills? I once won a competition for the most hula hoops spun in one go – 156 to be exact! 

How has Sogeti shaped your professional growth?

Coming from a non-consulting background, my time at Sogeti has been a continuous learning experience. Gaining certifications and exposure to different industries has broadened my skill set tremendously. The supportive learning environment here has played a key role in my professional growth. 

Working at Sogeti has been an incredible journey, full of learning, growth and fantastic people. I look forward to continuing this adventure and making an impact in the ever-evolving world of data analytics.
