The term 'Synthetic Generation' was coined during research for our Digital Happiness series of reports, which looks at how digital and new media behaviours are simply normal to Gen Z. This new generation are growing up in a world where it’s unclear what’s real and what’s fake and, consequently, many are adopting a post-materialistic attitude that makes it difficult for organisations to gain their loyalty or trust.
