We were delighted to welcome John Lawlor from our coffee supplier, Watermark, who shared compelling insights into the environmental and social impact of the coffee we enjoy at work. The session spotlighted two of Watermark’s standout sustainable coffee brands:
Green Ocean Coffee:
Every bag purchased helps restore one square metre of sea floor in County Mayo, supporting marine biodiversity and healthier ocean ecosystems. The coffee is also ethically sourced directly from farmers, ensuring fair pricing and stronger economic support.
Woodland Coffee: This brand is Rainforest Alliance Certified, reflecting its commitment to protecting forests, biodiversity, and human rights. With an ambitious goal to plant 27,000 trees in Limerick, Woodland Coffee is actively contributing to climate action and the restoration of native woodland habitats.
During this event David Lawlor presented some of the senior management with certificates to showcase the positive impact that Sogeti Ireland has had on the 2 above initiatives.
This event served as a powerful reminder that sustainability isn’t just about grand gestures—it’s about the small, everyday choices we make. By choosing ethically sourced, environmentally conscious coffee, we’re not only fuelling our workdays—we’re supporting reforestation, marine restoration, and fair trade practices.
Those who attended in person enjoyed a delicious lunch and engaged in meaningful conversations around climate action, sustainability, and how we can all make a difference—one cup at a time.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this impactful session. Let’s continue to sip sustainably and support initiatives that align with our values. Stay tuned for more events that connect our daily habits with global change.
